Where is Kirb available?

Kirb is available everywhere, but you'll find most spaces in the greater Los Angeles area. Keep an eye out for Kirb spaces in your favorite neighborhoods and destinations in Southern California. Check kirb.com and your Kirb app frequently for announcements about new cities as we grow.

How do I download the app?

The Kirb app is available exclusively for iPhone. To download Kirb for free, visit the iTunes App Store on your iPhone and follow these instructions to install the app:

  1. Download Kirb from the App Store
  2. Tap the Kirb icon
  3. Tap “get” to download the Kirb app
  4. Tap “install” once Kirb has downloaded
  5. Once the Kirb installation is complete, tap “open” and follow the screen prompts to create an account and start parking with Kirb

How old do I need to be to use the app?

You must be 18 or older to use the Kirb app.  See our Terms of Service for more information about this.

What payment methods does Kirb accept?

Kirb accepts all major credit cards, as well as PayPal and Apple Pay.

How do I find a parking space immediately?

To search for parking right now, open the Kirb app and make sure you are logged in. Once the home map screen is visible, you will see spaces currently available in your area. Tap on a space closest to your destination and confirm your selection to claim the space and park now.

How do I reserve a parking space for the future?

Open the Kirb app and make sure you are logged in. Once the home map screen is visible, tap the calendar icon to search for parking spaces. Filter your request by entering date, time and location preferences. Choose a space and confirm your selection to complete your booking.

When will I be charged?

When you claim a space or make a reservation, Kirb may place a small, temporary authorization charge on your account. However, you will not be charged the total for your booking until after you have left your parking space.

How does Kirb process payments?

All parking transactions booked through the Kirb platform are processed by Kirb to ensure money is transferred between drivers and space owners conveniently, securely and reliably. Here’s how it works:

  1. Driver chooses a payment method during sign-up.
  2. Driver’s preferred payment account is automatically debited at the conclusion of each parking transaction. Kirb automatically includes any applicable discounts and services fees in each transaction.
  3. Kirb releases funds to space owners weekly or monthly.

All Kirb space reservations and on-demand transactions must be processed through Kirb’s payment system. This helps ensure that both drivers and space owners are protected under Kirb’s Terms of Service, including applicable cancellation and refund policies.

App Troubleshooting

What if my phone dies while I’m parked?

Don't worry. If you're phone dies or is damaged while you are parked, make note of the time. Leave your parking space at the scheduled time and once your phone is working again, email support at [email protected] we'll make sure you aren't charged for time you didn't use.

What do I do if the app crashes or stops working?

If you're having technical problems with the Kirb app or if the app keeps crashing, we recommend deleting and then reinstalling it. You will need to sign back into your account once the app has been reinstalled.

If you're still having trouble using the Kirb app or if you have tried to reinstall the app but can't open it, please email support at [email protected] and we'll give you a hand.

What do I do if I the app displays the message "Network Error"?

If “Network Error” appears on your device, try turning off your WiFi connection. You may also want to reboot your device and log back into Kirb once your device restarts.

Refunds & Cancellations

What is Kirb's refund policy?

Kirb will not charge you until after you're done parking and when you leave your space. If you were not able to park for any of the following reasons and were charged, Kirb will issue a 100% refund:

  • There was no room for your vehicle
  • The space did not exist
  • Someone else was parked in the space

What is Kirb's cancellation policy?

You may cancel any on-demand parking reservation within 5 minutes from the time you claimed the space. If you change your mind after claiming a parking space, tap the cancel button on the Kirb app on your device.

Cancellations to advance reservations made within 12 hours before the reservation begins may incur a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the booking total.

Listing a Space

What are the requirements for adding a space to the Kirb network?

Virtually anyone with a private parking space, lot or driveway can become a Kirb space owner. Visit our How it Works page for testimonials. The space must be in clear view of a public street and should be in an area where parking supply is low and demand is high.

List a space in minutes. While most spaces are approved within minutes, it can take as long as 24 hours for our team to review and approve new spaces.

 

Getting Paid

How does Kirb process payments?

Each week, Kirb will deposit your earnings via direct deposit into a bank account of your choosing. Payments and deposits are processed using an independent, third-party mobile payments and deposits partner.

How do I calculate my payout?

Your payout is calculated based on the number of spaces you have in the network and the number of minutes these spaces were used during a payment period. You can check your owner dashboard any time for a summary of earnings.

Kirb is not responsible for damage to members’ parking spaces or vehicles, nor any other personal or public property surrounding the use of the Kirb platform.

Pricing Plans & Upgrades

How much does it cost to park using Kirb?

Kirb is FREE for the first 15 minutes. After that, you'll be charged a flat rate of $1.00 for each additional 15 minutes and a daily maximum of $24. For more information about pricing and fees, please read our Terms of Service.

Does Kirb offer monthly plans for frequent users?

Kirb offers simple, flat pricing across our network. We are exploring plans to introduce monthly subscription pricing and other loyalty-related discounts in 2017.
